About Us

Paul Kenny’s was founded in 1981 by Andy Berman, Brian Webber, Baird Gourlay and Paul Kenny. It was originally located at the base of Warm Springs until 2007 when the business moved to downtown Ketchum. The rental shop has been located at 320 N. Leadville since then, but the retail store was in the white church on the corner of Leadville and 4th street from 2007-2018. In 2012, the rental and tune shop was purchased by Ritchie and Maggie Thurston. Ritchie had managed the rental shop since 1991 before purchasing and Maggie came over from another shop in town to help run the store as well. In 2018; Ritchie, Maggie and Doug Yeates purchased the retail store along with founder Baird Gourlay and moved locations next to the rental store where it is today on Leadville Ave. The Gourlay, Thurston and Yeates families all have or had kids in the SVSEF family and are all alpine and Nordic skiers. You’ll see Berm, Webby and Butch on the slopes everyday at 9 am at Warm Springs skiing 100+ days a year!

We have prided ❤️ ourselves for almost 50 years to have great employees and service. It has been an amazing team thoughout the years, and we look forward to seeing you come by the store to help you with gear, just to say hello or to come by for a cold beer.
